"Octobear" Invitational

The "Octobear" Meet is a small meet at the start of short course season.  It is an excellent way to introduce new swimmers to meets, or obtain introductory times for seasoned swimmers.  Events range from 8 & under  25 yd events to the 1650 yd freestyle for the older swimmers.

November Sprints

This is a fast paced meet with 50 yd events, and relays for all ages.  Again 25 yd events are offered for beginning swimmers 8 & under. Since high school season is usually under way, the older group swims as 13 & over.   Usually the meet is scheduled before any HS competitions.

This meet does offer 50 events for older swimmers who  generally do not get the opportunity to swim the 50 yd in fly, back and breast. Most events are 25 - 200 yd, however, the 1000 yd freestyle is offered.  Relay events are also offered at this meet.

The Sprints meet traditionally attracts a few clubs from out of state.

Winter Invitational

The Winter Invitational is traditionally a large and competitive mid-season meet.  Distance events, including the 1650 yd freestyle, are held on Friday evening. Donner offers something for every age group, starting with 25 yard events for 8 & under swimmers.  Older swimmers are offered the traditional events for divisionals and state.

Early Bird Invitational

The May meet has been held both in the outdoor 50 M and indoor 25 M venues.  Starting in 2009 this meet will continue to be held indoors.  The Early Bird is a small meet to start the season, and obtain introductory times.  The events range from 50 M to 800 M. In 2011 the meet was condensed to a two session format, having all age groups swim in the mornings.

Jaime Miller Meet Invitational

This is Donner's only 50M meet hosted outdoors in a heated pool at Donner Center.  The venue provides rooftop seating for spectators, matched by none in the state.  The swimmers and coaches have access to a grassy area around the pool for swimmer camping.  This provides time for comraderie in a park setting.

This is a large three day meet, which starts with distance events on Friday afternoon.  Relays are held on Saturday and Sunday.  All events are offered, and younger swimmers have the opportunity to swim 50 M events.  This meet fills quickly.
