News and updates from USA Swimming
  • Last week, one Phillips 66 Nationals morning following prelims, I spoke with a friend, both of us wondering: "What would it feel like to be Michael Phelps competing at Nationals?"
  • These swimmers have officially been added to the U.S. Pan Pacific Championships team, which will compete Aug. 21-25 in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.
  • We have had an exciting week at the Phillips 66 National Championships, highlighted by Katie Ledecky’s world record in the 400m freestyle. While our eyes have been focused on the pool, we occasionally turn around and look at what’s going on outside the pool. Here are a few of the promotional highlights of the week.
  • John Lohn built quite a name for himself working at Swimming World Magazine, and working for its website. Now at SwimVortex, Lohn takes a look back at Nationals, and ahead to the future, in this week’s 20 Question Tuesday.
  • When it comes to coaching open water swimming, Catherine Vogt draws several comparisons to auto racing.
