Great Effort, Alex!!

After approximately four hours, Alex was forced to end his swim due to hypothermia. He had swum around ten miles before the swim ended, and was near the turn of the tide (about half way). Under no circumstances is this a defeat. The effort is what counts, and we are very glad the he is safe!

Please congratulate Alex on an excellent attempt!

Alex will be swimming the english channel at 10:15 PM on Sunday night, our time! That is 3:15 AM on Monday morning in Dover (dawn in Dover is around that time!).

Let's cheer him on and pray for safe passage!

Alex reported that the weather in Dover is a perfect 70 degrees and sunny! The water temp is currently 60 degrees, which is the optimal temperature. He and his pilot have decided to start the swim on Monday. We will post his start time as soon as possible!
